A Christmas Post

I wish you a hopeful Christmas
I wish you a brave New Year
All anguish pain and sadness
Leave your heart and let your road be clear
They said there'd be snow at Christmas
They said there'd be peace on Earth
Hallelujah Noel be it Heaven or Hell
The Christmas we get we deserve

This is the last verse of "I Believe in Father Christmas." Greg Lake (Emerson Lake & Palmer) wrote this song as an objection to the commercialism of Christmas. You don’t need snow to have a happy Christmas (which is good, because we’re spending Christmas in the Caribbean), it comes from within. So whether you believe in the true spirit of Christmas or you are a cynic, you get the Christmas you deserve. Merry Christmas.
